WHAT TO EXPECT:

At Family First Chiropractic, it is our priority to make sure that you are completely comfortable with your entire experience in our office! We understand that your first visit to a chiropractor can stir some questions of what to expect, but we are here to serve you and answer any questions you may have.

New Patient Paperwork

Upon entering our office, you will be warmly welcomed into our chiropractic family by our front desk staff. At this time, you will be given your new patient paperwork if you did not fill it out prior to your appointment. Please fill these forms out in their entirety, being sure to sign all forms. If you'd like to save 15 minutes, feel free to download and print the new patient paperwork.

Consultation

After the initial paperwork is complete, we will sit down with you to discuss what brought you into our office. At this time, we will ask a variety of questions to better understand your health issues and goals. This will allow us to determine the possible causes of your issues and create the best recommendations for your individualized care. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and discuss any concerns you may have.

Examination

Following the consultation, we will perform a comprehensive chiropractic examination to further determine the cause of your issues. This examination will include a range of orthopedic and neurological exams, palpation, and a posture assessment. Determining the source of the problem helps us develop an accurate diagnosis and plan for care in our office.

Surface Electromyography (sEMG)

When necessary, we will scan your spine and nervous system using Surface Electromyography (sEMG) to identify the origins of a deficiency or infirmity; to pinpoint the underlying cause of your symptom or symptoms. The benefit of these scans is to detect disfunction that is not often painful until the damage is severe. This scan and method, however, will show if there are any subluxations (misalignments) causing stress on the nervous system, and how it is affecting or will affect your organs, glands, muscles & energy level.

Report of Findings

Your next visit will be the report of findings, in which we will go over everything after she has had a chance to carefully go over your exam results and x-rays (if applicable). We will sit down with you to thoroughly discuss what was found, as well as offer recommendations with your plan for care. The purpose of this report is to educate you on your spinal health and assist you in making the best health care decisions. Our goal for your report of findings is to answer how we can help you, how often you will need to come in, and how much your care will cost. We are here to serve you and allow this time to clear up any additional questions and concerns you may have.

Adjustment Visits

After your report of findings has been completed, subsequent visits will consist of specific chiropractic adjustments. Because we know everyone lives a busy life, we take pride in providing timely visits for our patients. These adjustments will take approximately 10 minutes each visit. After an adjustment, you may experience immediate relief, experience some soreness, or feel the same. These are ALL normal responses, but your body will begin to maintain adjustments better as you begin to heal. We will be here to support you through the whole process!
